Perth-born Daniel Sinfield has performed for opera companies and symphony orchestras throughout Australia.
His training included an Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts), a Bachelor of Music (University of Western Australia) and completion of 2 years with the Opera Studio Melbourne where he performed as Don Ottavio (Don Giovanni), Acis (Acis and Galetea), Mercury (Orpheus in the Underworld), and Don Alberto (Love’s Luggage Lost). Recent roles include Acis (Acis and Galetea) and Alfredo (Die Fledermaus) – both Co-Opera Inc,; Peter Quint (The Turn of The Screw), Mitradate (Mitradate – Mozart); and covered Pylades (Iphigenie en Tauride) Lyric Opera of Melbourne.
Ensemble roles include La Fanciulla Del West (dir: Nigel Jamieson), Aida (dir: Graeme Murphy), La Boheme (conductor: Joseph Colaneri), The Magic Flute (conductor: Richard Mills) and Il Barbiere di Siviglia (dir: John Milson). Later in 2014, Daniel will join Lyric again as Schmidt in Massenet’s Werther.
